LOL EXCELLENT! Gosh I haven't seen anything like that in moons! We used to have a professer that had us do an individual setup, then we were assigned teams and made another as a team, and then the entire class had to cooperate and work together to make another. People would take the class thinking it was easy/fun credits but BZZZZZT! WRONG! He chose the teams after he got to know the class and always stuck you with people that you would clash with and then the entire class working together was a NIGHTMARE! That sure brought back a lot of memories Taz, thanks!

Lol, class was more about working together than making neat little inventions huh? Gotta hate those. I always preferred working by myself than in groups. Simply b/c I'd rather be the one to blame if my grade sucks than blame it on someone else.

Off topic: ugh, don't even talk about group projects. I had to do a research paper with 3 people. One of them was a complete slacker, while the other 2 and me worked our asses off. Half the time, we couldn't get any work done because the asshole would never show up to the meetings.

However, it worked out. I told the professor, and even though our project was half-assed, I received an A and the jerk-ass failed it. {All right!}

It makes me wonder how these people get into college.....

ACTs are easy to score high on for some. I scored a 30 without trying, but sucked bad at college. And I mean bad.

Really...colleges accept just about anybody that has money these days. Or the ability to get student loans.

Lucky you....I had to take the SAT. Gotta love the repetitive analogies/sentence completion and boring 16th century literature critical analysis sections! blech

I landed an ok score of 1290 after a couple of tries. And right now I'm maintaining a 4.0 GPA in college. Figures.

Have you seen the Honda commercial for the UK Accord? It uses every part of the car and took over 400+ takes.

There are no computer graphics or digital tricks in the film.
Everything you see really happened in real time exactly as you see it.
The film took 606 takes. On the first 605 takes, something, usually
very minor, didn't work. They would then have to set the whole thing up
again. The crew spent weeks shooting night and day. The film cost six
million dollars and took three months to complete, including a full
engineering of the sequence. In addition, it's two minutes long so
every time Honda airs the film on British television, they're shelling
out enough dough to keep any one of us in clover for a lifetime.
However, it is fast becoming the most down loaded advertisement in
Internet history. Honda executives figure the ad will soon pay for
itself simply in "free" viewings (Honda isn't paying a dime to have you
watch this commercial!). When the ad was pitched to senior executives,
they signed off on it immediately without any hesitation - including
the costs. There are six and only six handmade Accords in the world. To
the horror of Honda engineers, the filmmakers disassembled two of them
to make the film. Everything you see in the film (aside from the walls,
floor, ramp, and complete Honda Accord) are parts from those two cars.
The voice - over is Garrison Keillor. When the ad was shown to Honda
executives, they liked it and commented on how amazing computer
graphics have gotten. They fell off their chairs when they found out it
was for real. Oh! And about those funky windshield wipers. On the new
Accords, the windshield wipers have water sensors and are designed to
start doing their thing automatically as soon as they become wet. It
looks a bit weird in the commercial. Just one-second of computer
generation is used to link the two halves-when an exhaust pipe rolls
across the floor. At one point, three tires roll uphill because inside
they have been weighted with bolts and screws.

Im such a nerd when it comes to stuff like this .
When i was in high school I took up robotics, but american robotic engineering is nowhere near the japanese. I wanted to make veritechs and Gigantor. They were makin roaches ^^.
I made a working veritech robot from sewing string, tape, and about 10 cereal boxes.
the string was the musculature taped inside the robots body. with strings coming out the upper torso so i could make it transform or "walk". it was so simple, but my robotics class consisted of making arms and levers. Bleh.
